The Quebec Court of Appeal’s ruled yesterday and the pit bull law reinstated in Montreal. Although suspended by a judge in October, it’s back in action, leaving dog lovers and especially, pit bull owners, scrambling to understand this bylaw.
At this time, there remains a partial stay to NOT issue euthanasia orders. However, pit bull owners must have their dogs muzzled the when in public.
New pit bulls are once again not allowed in the city of Montreal. However, the SPCA is challenging the bylaw, which may end up being unconstitutional after all is said and done.
